<p>A pressurized fluid dispenser for dispensing controlled quantities of cyanoacrylate adhesive has a generally hollow elongate body (10). A valve seat (22) is disposed within the body and a valve member (24) has a first position (Fig. 5) abutting the valve seat (22) such that pressurized fluid is prevented from flowing therethrough, and has a second position (Fig. 6) removed from the valve seat such that pressurized fluid flows therethrough. A tensioning spring (34) applies a biasing force to urge the valve member to its first position. A pressure acting surface (32) is formed upon the valve member such that pressure applied thereto by the pressurized fluid contained within the body urges the valve member toward the second position. A control fitting (72) mechanically linked to compression spring (44) controls the biasing force applied by the tensioning spring (34) to the valve member (24). Actuating the control lever (46) reduces the biasing force applied by the tensioning spring (34) to the valve member to the second position such that pressurized fluid is dispensed through the valve.</p> |
