The invention relates to an installation for supplying consumers with gas from gas vessels, in particular for supplying with combustion gas, which is stored under pressure in a solvent, in the case of which installation two groups of vessels are provided and in each case one removal line (2, 8) is present for the same, the removal lines finally opening into a common consumer line (24), and, if appropriate, a plurality of elements for the measurement, blocking and pressure regulation of gas being arranged in the removal lines and in the consumer line. The invention proposes that, in the case of gas-supply installations of the type outlined, there are arranged, in the removal lines (2, 8), self-closing shut-off valve (3, 9) with remotely controllable closing drives which are independent of energy supply, and that said shut-off valves (3, 9) equipped with closing drives are connected to a common control unit (29) and are controlled by the same, the control unit (29), for its part, being connected to safety-specific signal transmitters (30, 37).
