The clamping of a fretsaw blade is simplified and facilitated by the clamping aid. The clamping aid can be mounted on any fretsaw. The fretsaw frame is pretensioned and arrested by means of the clamping aid. The clamping aid consists of any desired material. The clamping aid can be mounted at any location on the fretsaw frame. The arresting of the pretensioned fretsaw frame is effected according to any desired principle with the aid of the bow of the clamping aid. The clamping aid facilitates the clamping of a fretsaw blade. Furthermore, it prevents material fatigue in the fretsaw frame, since the frame is handled with constant pretension by the clamping aid. Figures 1 to 3 show the basic construction of the clamping aid described.
