The invention relates to a front-loading drum-type washing machine with a washing-machine housing, with an electrical light source for illuminating the interior of a tub or of a laundry drum arranged in the tub, the loading orifice of the tub being surrounded by a concertina gasket, with a light source arranged outside the tub and with a light guide assigned to the light source and guided through the concertina gasket. In order to provide a drum-type washing machine, in which the user can carry out the exchange of the lighting bodies in a simple way himself, the light source can be exchanged from the front wall of the washing-machine housing.
