<p>Aq. effluents from washing and boiling of cork are treated with tannery residues, specifically chrome-tanned leather waste ('blue shavings'). Treatment can be carried out in batches by mixing the effluent with the shavings and filtering, or continuously by percolating through a bed of shavings.</p> |
