The invention relates to a device for receiving hairs, dandruff and other loose specks adhering at least to the surface of the scalp and neck skin, having a blower which is accommodated in at least one housing section and which conveys and deposits the specks in a collection device with the aid of a suction device at whose open end a suction nozzle is arranged. To loosen the hairs and specks, a compressed-air nozzle fed by an air compressor is arranged in the region of the suction nozzle. The jet of compressed air given off by the compressed-air nozzle can pulsate and/or describe a curved path within the suction nozzle.
