A method for indicating the fuzing of a projectile using a projectile body which contains a filling compound and one of whose ends, which can be aimed at a target, has a fuze, the projectile being fired from a firing barrel and that part of the filling compound which can be ignited being detonated via the fuze when it passes through the target, it being possible to detect this acoustically and optically, and the projectile body not being destroyed when the fuze is triggered, as well as an indicating charge which forms the part of the filling compound which can be ignited being detonated and the projectile body likewise not being destroyed by the explosive force of the indicating charge but the fuze being accelerated in the direction of flight of the projectile such that it is released from the projectile body, light signals and sound signals from the burning indicating charge can be detected outside the projectile body and the projectile body continues to move on its ballistic trajectory, as well as a test projectile which can be used to carry out this method.
