The invention relates to an arrangement for emergency switching-off of a motor drive for closing windows, flaps or coverings, which prevents a window sash or the like being closed by means of a motor drive when an object or a part of the body is located between the window sash and the window frame. In this arrangement, at least one sensor is fitted along the frame surfaces (2), oriented towards the window sash, against which the window sash is moved during the closure operation and which, in the open position of the window sash, are at a distance therefrom, said sensor being intended to detect objects or human or animal body parts located in the interspace between the window sash and the window frame (1). The switching-off signal for the drive is generated by the sensor or sensors.
