<p>Space between lead screening and outer metal container is filled with hydrated calcium sulphate slurry, which is allowed to set to a plaster. Excess water in this is removed, pref. by heating, and porous mass treated with liquid of b.pt. corresponding to temp. range of proposed use. Liquid is pref. glycerol, ethylene glycol or transformer coolant oil.</p> |
