An eye imaging system having a hand held portable image capture unit (12) connected by a cable (16) to a console (14). The hand held unit includes a light fiber optic (34) for transmitting light to the eye, imaging and focusing optics, and iris diaphragm, and a charged coupled image device (38). The connecting console (14) provides an electric power source, light source, light filters, viewing monitor, control keys and an output recorder. |
