In song accompanying instruments, the new song adding unit adds new song data using modem. The unit comprises modem to receive new song data through public telephone line; computer to control the programming ROM pack memory; the memory programming circuit to program ROM pack memory with new song data; and printer to print new song information for selecting list of songs. The unit lowers the addition cost and provides efficient service of new songs.
