PURPOSE:To perform an efficient dummy vector processing by an ordinary data processor. CONSTITUTION:This processor has a group 105 of physical floating point registers more than addressable floating point registers, a multi-bit current floating point window pointer register 110, a one-bit current floating point window painter effective register 111, A variation instruction which converts a floating point register number in an instruction into a physical floating point register number and varies the value of the register 110, a floating point register preload instruction which regards a value different from the register 110 as the value of the register 110, converts the floating point register number in the instruction into a physical floating point register number by a converting circuit 12, and stores main storage data in the pjysical floating point register having the physical floating point register, and a floating point register poststore instruction which similarly regards the floating point register number in the instruction as the value of the register 110, converts it into the physical floating point register number, and stores data in the main storage from the physical floating pointer register having the number. |
