A base blade for circular saw blades or abrasive cutting disks, comprising of a circular disk body fabricated at least partially of plastic material reinforced with embedded fibers. The fibers are arranged in many fiber layers laying upon one another which are connected without gaps, are plane, circular-disk shaped, and concentric to the disk body. In a first type of fiber layer, the fibers are arranged with respect to the body of the disk in an at least approximately radial direction in straight lines, and are arranged in a uniform distribution along the entire extent. In a second type of fiber layer, the fibers run essentially concentrically to the disk body in an at least approximately circular manner. The two types of fiber layers are arranged in the disk body in a distribution chosen as a function of the size of the disk body.
