The organometallic cmpds. (I) are pref. of formula M (OR)4 where M is a gp. IV or V metal and R is aryl or alkyl gp; or (R'O)2 M(OOCR)2 where R is alkyl and R' is alkyl or aryl gp. Pref. metals are Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb or Ta. The presence of (I) improves the dyeability of the polymers. |
