PURPOSE:To prevent formation of a roll mark by a method wherein a detecting roller is brought into pressure contact with powder dust on a work during a return stroke, in a cloth belt sander machine wherein press members are aligned in the direction of the width of a material feed passage and a work detecting probe group to which a detecting roller corresponding to each press member is pivotally supported is arranged closer to the material feed side than a pedal device. CONSTITUTION:A work detecting prove S group to which a detecting roll 40 is pivotally supported is arranged on a single oscillating body 50. The oscillating body 50 is inclined through drive of an inclination cylinder 55 and the detecting roller 40 is situated in an upper moving-aside position during reversing, whereby the contact streak of the detecting roller 40 owing to powder dust produced during grinding is prevented from being marked. |
