PURPOSE:To provide an inflator for an air bag device easily drawn with parts constituting the skeleton, having a few number of part items, and nearly integrated. CONSTITUTION:The skeleton of an inflator 10 is constituted of an upper case 44, a lower case 30, and a cover body 70, the number of part items is reduced, and a nearly integrated case can be constructed. A cylinder hollow section 36 is recessed at the center section of the bottom section 32 of the lower case 30 on the side opposite to an occupant, and part of a cylinder unit can 34 storing a sensor 40, a detonator 80, and an enhancer 82 is held. The outer diameter of the cylinder unit can 34 is made small, and the inner diameter of the cylinder hollow section 36 is made small accordingly. The drawing depth can be reduced for the drawing of the cylinder hollow section 36, and the inner diameter of the cylinder hollow section 36 can be easily reduced as compared with the reduction of the inner diameter of the whole lower case 30. |
