PURPOSE:To accurately position an electronic component in which leads are difficult to visually recognize from above on a printed circuit board. CONSTITUTION:The electronic component positioning apparatus comprises image synthesizing means having a half mirror 34 to reflect two objects placed vertically between an electronic component D disposed at an upper part and a printed circuit board C disposed at a lower part to the same point of a horizontal direction and a plane mirror 36, image extracting means 50 for reflecting partial images of a diagonal area of the means to an opposite side and reflecting it horizontally, and solid-stage imaging unit 84 for converting an image from the extracting means into a video signal. Leads of a rear surface of the component D disposed at the upper part and a conductive pattern of a front surface of the board C are synthesized by the image synthesizing means to be one synthetic image, only an image of the diagonal area of the component by the means 50 and introduced to the unit 84. Thus, even in the case of an electronic component having a large size, the image can be positioned accurately without increasing in size of the apparatus. |
