PURPOSE:To provide a probe for a hydrometer by which specific gravity of liquid such as urine can be measured simply with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A probe for a hydrometer has a probe body 15 having a soaking part 16 to be soaked in liquid whose specific gravity is measured, an ultrasonic vibrator 52 which is installed in the soaking part 16 so as to transmit an ultrasonic wave and receives the reflected wave and whose operation surface is covered with a protective member 50 composed of a resin material having specific gravity equal to or approximate to the liquid, a reflecting plate 62 to generate the reflected wave by receiving the ultrasonic wave from the ultrasonic vibrator and a fixing member 22 which is installed in the soaking part by holding a constant distance between this reflecting plate and the ultrasonic vibrator and have plural window parts 26 make the liquid enter between the ultrasonic vibrator and the reflecting plate. |
