PURPOSE:To provide a scanning optical system easy for correcting various kinds of aberration. CONSTITUTION:A transparent member Q is provided so as to cover a polygon mirror M, and whose surface is provided on a circle around the rotary shaft O of the polygon mirror M. A laser beam facing to the polygon mirror M is set so as to be made incident on the rotary shaft O of the polygon mirror M. The center of the scanning range of the laser beam deflected by the polygon mirror M is set so as to coincide with the optical path of the laser beam incident on the polygon mirror M. |
