PURPOSE:To prevent a forklift truck from running with the parking lever operated, and a brake from being seized, by detecting an ON/OFF of a parking lever and battery capacity. CONSTITUTION:A starting detector 10 detects an ON/OFF of a starting switch 5 and a parking lever detector 11 detects an ON/OFF of a parking lever 6. A capacity detector checks whether a battery is charged to a specified level. When an operator turns on a switch 10a (engine start) in the starting detector 10 with the parking lever 6 turned on, a red lamp 13a is lit to alert the operator to it. If the battery capacity is below the specified level when the parking lever 6 is turned off, the red lamp 13a is flashed to alert the operator. Thus, this alarm device can prevent a forklift truck from being run with the parking lever 6 turned on. |
