PURPOSE:To perform a quick access operation by bending a focusing elastic body in the focus direction and also rotating a lens holder in the tracking direction by a rotational means. CONSTITUTION:A lens holder 40 on which a light emitting/light receiving means 50 is assembled and fixed can rotate in the track direction with a projecting part 21 at the centroid position as the center. A lens mounting hole 42 is provided in the front part of the holder 40, an objective lens 41 is mounted thereon. Moreover, a chip mounting hole 43 for mounting an integrated chip 51 is provided in the rear part of the holder 40. A track direction driving coil 44 is fitted on both side surfaces of the holder 40 and a focus direction driving coil 45 is fitted on the upper face near the coil 44. In such a manner, a magnetic circuit is constituted of the coils 44, 45 and a magnet 2. That is, the holder 40 is moved in the track direction by a magnetic interaction between the coil 44 and the magnet 2 and in the focus direction by the interaction between the coil 45 and the magnet 2. |
