PURPOSE:To prevent high voltage from being impressed on a discharge lamp when the discharge lamp is replaced. CONSTITUTION:A socket 6 is provided in an igniter circuit part 4 wrapping the igniter circuit part 4 in it. An installing part 60 to install a discharge lamp 1 is arranged in this socket 6. The connecting part to supply output of an inverter circuit part 5 to the igniter circuit part 4 when it is installed in the igniter circuit part 4 as well as to supply output of the igniter circuit part 4 to the discharge lamp 1, is arranged in the socket 6 and the igniter circuit part 4. A structure is formed so that the discharge lamp 1 is not removed when the socket 6 is not removed without fail when the discharge lamp 1 is replaced. When the socket 6 is removed, supply of the output of the inverter circuit 5 is stopped, and the igniter circuit part 5 stops operation. Thereby, high voltage is prevented from being impressed when the discharge lamp 1 is replaced, and work can be safely performed. |
