PURPOSE:To speedily display the layout of document data including special characters such as deformed characters. CONSTITUTION:When a layout window function is indicated through an input part 1, a control part 13 performs a layout process through a layout window process part 20. The layout window process part 20 generates layout data on document data of one page including data displayed currently at a display part 17. In this case, characters are shown normally by lines (or dot) and the deformed characters are represented as areas (rectangle) corresponding to the size. The layout data which are thus generated are displayed on a layout window screen different from a document screen. |
