PURPOSE:To provide the transaction processing system wherein a network controller generates a specific article PLU file to be stored in a RAM so that the PLU records of articles that are arranged in customer's attention attracting places in a store by the store side for the purpose of emphasized sales, reduced in price, and advertised are included. CONSTITUTION:The network controller 2 updates the prices of part of PLU records in an all article PLU file 21 by alteration, etc., at specific time for the all article PLU file containing PLU records where article price data are made to correspond to article discrimination codes by all the articles. Further, the network controller 2 inputs emphasized sale articles, advertised articles, etc., through an operator, stores those articles in a special sale article file and an advertised article file, and extracts the PLU records of the articles stored in the special sale article file and advertised article file from the all article PLU files 21, thereby generating a special sale article PLU file 24 from the extracted PLU records. |
