RECOMBINANT ACARID ALLERGEN

PURPOSE:To provide a recombinant acarid allergen which is useful as a treating agent or diagnostic agent for acarid allergic diseases with high safety and effectiveness because it has no anaphylaxy induction. CONSTITUTION:A recombinant acarid allergen having antigenicity and allergen activity to be obtained by expression of the gene originating from an acarid body having antigenicity and allergen activity. This recombinant acarid allergen is obtained by adjusting mRNA from an acarid body such as American house dust mite (Dermatophagoides farinae), using it as a template to synthesize cDNA including the DNA sequence of Table 1 to obtain the gene originating from an acarid body, linking the gene to a plasmid vector such as pUEX2 so that the gene may be expressed to constitute expression vector, culturing a bacterium, yeast or mammalian cells transformed with the expression vector to produce the recombinant acarid allergen, and purifying and collecting the allergen through the gel filtration chromatography and the antibody-immobilized affinity chromatography.
