PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension of a continuously variable transmission and increase the degree of freedom in the selection of gear ratio by supporting the output shaft of a transmission in free revolution in parallel to the axis of the continuously variable transmission on a casing, and interposing a reduction gear mechanism between a motor output shaft and the output shaft. CONSTITUTION:An output shaft 18 as the final output terminal of a transmission T is supported on a casing 12, in a turnable manner in parallel to the axis of a hydrostatic type continuously variable transmission 10, and the output supplied from the motor output shaft 17 of the hydrostatic type continuously variable transmission 10 is transmitted to the output shaft 18 through a secondary reduction gear mechanism 20. Accordingly, even if the max. speed change ration of the hydrostatic type continuously variable transmission 10 is set relatively small, the max. gear ratio in total of a transmission T can be increased, and even if the dimension of the hydrostatic type continuously variable transmission 10 is reduced by setting the torque capacity of the hydrostatic type continuously variable transmission 10 relatively small, the degree of freedom in the selection of the gear ratio of the transmission T can be increased. |
