PURPOSE:To produce continuously a compressed pad which is easily restored to the original form on conducting air, differently from a press type. CONSTITUTION:An end seal is appplied on a continuous belt-form material 59 composed of the upper film 54 and the lower film 56 intervened with an urethane mat 52 by an end seal mechanism 66. The continuous belt-form material 59 which has stuck on the outer peripheral face of a deaeration drum 68 through a squeeze roll 72 is made flat by compression and the urethane mat 52 is deaerated. The compressed and deaerated continuous belt-form material 59 is caught in between a side seal roller 70 and the deaeration drum 68 to be applied with sideseal 82, 82. The belt-form material applied with sideseal 82, 82 is cut at the middle of endseal by a rotary cutter 78. In this way, a compressed pad 84 can be obtained. |
