PURPOSE:To prevent or reduce the occurrence of abnormal feeling in the ear, even if an atmospheric pressure regulator is not provided, by restricting the elevating/lowering speed of a cage and the elevating/lowering distance in the traveling of one time. CONSTITUTION:The elevating/lowering distance of a cage from a starting story up to a destination story is detected by a elevating/lowering distance detecting means 14, and when the value is a prescribed value or less, normal speed control is carried out by a traveling control means 13, while when it exceeds the prescribed value, the elevating/lowering speed is set to a lower value as the elevating/lowering distance becomes longer by a speed setting means 15, and traveling is controlled by the set speed. Thus, as the elevating/lowering distance becomes longer, the rate of change of the atmospheric pressure inside the cage becomes less, and in an elevator for a super-multistory building, the occurrence of abnormal feeling in the ear can be prevented or reduced. |
