PURPOSE:To reduce in size by charging a battery and reducing in size a reactor and a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:The uninterruptible power source comprises a bridge circuit having first, second switch elements 8, 9 connected in anti-parallel with a diode and connected in series with one another, a changeover switch 3 for connecting a series connecting point of the first and second elements to one end of an AC power supply 1 and one terminal of a battery 2 through an inductance 6, and first, second capacitors 14, 15 connected in series with both ends of the bridge circuit and connected to the other terminal of the AC power supply wherein the other terminal of the battery is connected to the one terminal of the bridge circuit. A second bridge circuit in which third, fourth switch elements 10, 11 connected in anti-parallel with a diode are connected in series with one another, connected with both ends of the first, second capacitors and a series connecting point of the third, fourth elements is connected to the one terminal of the battery through a second inductance 7 is provided. |
