<p>PURPOSE:To obtain uniform images having a good display grade by forming auxiliary capacitances at the first row or final row of the active matrix type liquid crystal display device of an additive capacitance type. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary capacitances Xsc are formed on the outer side of gate rows X1 to Xm and are superposed on display electrodes 10, by which the pixels of the first row or the final row are formed as a storage capacitance type. The auxiliary capacitance lines Xsc are connected to counter electrode pads CP and are thereby set at the same potential as the potential of the counter electrode.</p> |
