PHENOL RESIN GEAR AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide a phenol resin gear which possesses the excellent workability in manufacture and the excellent durability at high temperature, by selecting the reinforcing basic material of a tooth part constitution body. CONSTITUTION:The reinforcing basic material of a tooth part constitution body 2 consists of the aramid nonwoven fabric which is formed through the mixing and composite formation of m-aromatic polyamide fiber in 30-95wt.% and p-aromatic polyamide fiber in 70-5wt.%. The composition of 50-80wt.% m-aromatic polyamide fiber and 50-20wt.% p-aromatic polyamide fiber is preferable. This nonwoven fabric is impregnated with phenol resin, and is formed to a rod shape throught the rolling from the edge, and further formed into an annular tooth part constitution body 2 through the further rolling.
