PURPOSE:To grasp the length of a tape required for printing and then print in a document preparation device provided with a label printing function. CONSTITUTION:When a label is printed, optional characters are inputted through an input part 11 and a print format is set. A control part 13 finds the length of the tape required for printing from the set values and input character data at this time, and displays them at a display part 19. Once the length of the tape is specified through the input part 11, the control part 13 automatically sets the print format corresponding to the length and displays whether or not printing can be done in the print format at the display part 19. |
