SIMULTANEOUS PRODUCTION OF DIALKYL CARBONATE AND GLYCOL

摘要

PURPOSE:To simultaneously produce an industrically very important dialkyl carbonate and a glycol from an alkylene carbonate and an alcohol using an industrially advantageous heterogeneous catalyst at a high rate of conversion and high selectivity. CONSTITUTION:In a reaction of carbonic ester of a glycol with an alcohol, an ion exchange resin obtd. by exchanging the protons of functional carboxyl groups in an ion exchange resin for tetraalkylammonium cations is used as a catalyst and the objective dialkyl carbonate and glycol are simultaneously produced.
