PURPOSE:To attain interrupting a current in a time shorter than that in conventional case by forming a surface in a side, brought into contact with a fusible unit of a base seat, into a tooth shape, and interrupting a large current by explosion force of an explosive. CONSTITUTION:By forming a surface in a side, brought into contact with a fusible unit 1 of a base seat 3, into a tooth shape, since the plasma-made unit 1 is extruded to a hollow part of the tooth shape, are plasma is long extended, to easily extinguish an arc by a cooling effect. Accordingly, a time for interrupting a current is made shorter than that in the past. Even when the tooth shape is formed in a saw tooth shape, since the arc plasma is long extended in a triangular hollow part, an arc is extinguished in a short time. Further, when arranged one more explosive in an opposite tooth shaped surface side, two explosives are simultaneously ignited at the time of interrupting a current, to spring out a burst of high temperature and high speed from a valley of the saw tooth of the seat 3. A point end of this burst, holding a sharp shape like an edge tool, is advanced in a direction of the plasma-made unit 1, and by cutting the arc plasma of the unit 1, the arc can be extinguished in a short time. |
