PURPOSE:To obtain the compsn. which is adequately usable for hemostasis of a lesion and joining of the lesion tissues in a surgical field as the compsn. has excellent adhesiveness to the biotissues, is rapid in curing by polymn., has good durability to moisture and is harmless. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. for hemostasis and tissue adhesion of the living body consists of an adhesive component (A) composed of the partially hydrolyzed material of collagen protein, water and a polyhydric phenol compd. and a curing component (B) consisting of an aq. soln. contg. glyoxal. The hemostasis and tissue adhesion method for the living body comprises applying the component (A) to the joining part of the living body, dropping or injecting the component (B) onto or into the surface or part coated therewith and curing the component by polymn. at >=60 deg.C. |
