PURPOSE:To provide a lens having a high resolution by passing a hydrous plastic light transmission body through a solvent to swell this body and in succession, passing the body through the fine hole of an elastic member, thereby cutting the outer peripheral part of the light transmission body with a desired thickness and forming a meshed crack mask. CONSTITUTION:The plastic light transmission body is immersed in water and is impregnated with the water from the outer peripheral part. This hydrous plastic light transmission body is then immersed into the solvent. The numerous fine meshed cracks are then generated in the outer peripheral part of the plastic fiber in this initial state. These cracks progress uniformly toward the central part of the fiber and in follow up to this progression, the previously cracked parts are swollen by the solvent. The erosion of the light transmission body by the excess solvent does not arise. The plastic light transmission body held with the cracks in the outer peripheral part of the light transmission body is obtd. if the swollen part of the light transmission body is passed through the fine hole of the elastic member and is cut off. |
