PURPOSE:To execute automatic verification of an integrating volume meter correctly and quickly by a method wherein a liquid in a prescribed quantity is supplied to a plurality of integrating volume meters, while an image of a pointer type indicator is picked up by a CCD camera at the time of start of the verification and at the time of completion thereof, and the image is analyzed. CONSTITUTION:Sixteen water works meters 1-1 to 1-16, for instance, are connected in series and test water is supplied through a reference volume tube 2 from a pump 3 and led to a reference tank 18. The substantial quantity Q of the test water is measured by either the reference volume tube 2 or the reference tank 18 and compared with the indicated quantity I of the each water works meter 1-i. Each of CCD cameras 16-1 to 16-16 which can pick up an image of a pointer type indicator of the meter and each of light sources 17-1 to 17-16 are provided for each water works meter 1-i. Every time when a piston sensor of the reference volume tube 2 issues a signal, each CCD camera 16-i picks up the image of the pointer type indicator of the water works meter 1-I corresponding thereto and transmits it to an arithmetic control part. The arithmetic control part analyzes the inputted image, determines the indicated quantity I of each water works meter 1-i and calculates an instrumental error E% from an equation E=(I-Q)/IX100. |
