<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a gas dispersing nozzle from getting clogged and raise the aeration effect, by setting the diameter of the gas outlet port of the nozzle so that the blowoff velocity of gas from the gas outlet port into an aeration vessel is such as not to dry foul water adhering to the gas outlet port. CONSTITUTION:When compressed air is supplied from a compressed air source to an air pipe 1, the air passes through a perforated hole 4 of the nozzle 3 and pushes up a spherical valve element against the water pressure and the weight of the element to open a valve seat 5. Thus, the air flows into a valve element casing 6 and is blown off as bubbles 8 from the gas outlet port 7. Although the diameter of the gas outlet port 7 depends on the properties of sludge in the foul water, the temperature of the blown-off gas etc., this diameter is so set that the blowoff velocity of the gas is such as about 30 m/sec not to dry the foul water having invaded into the valve element casing 6.</p> |
