The invention provides a process for producing a flat coil, comprising the following steps: 1) providing an electrically conductive plate, for example a sheet of copper foil, a sheet of aluminium or the like; and 2) removing a generally helical first strip from the said sheet by means of a mechanical separating operation, in particular a rotary stamping action, which first strip is a first coil. |
