<p>The shape of metal strip on which a tensile force is applied is measured by bending it with a magnet between the rollers in a rolling mill for transporting the strip at a certain tensile force. The bending in a lateral direction is determined in two or more places. Specif., detection heads are situated near the strip surface at the other side from the magnet and coverters are provided for converting the movement of the detection heads into electrical signals. An indicator shows the signals of the converters.</p> |
