Procedure for repopulating a sea bed with marine phanerogams and, more specifically, with cuttings from Posidonia oceanica. Said procedure for repopulating a sea bed with marine phanerogams consists in taking cuttings and in implanting them in said sea bed. This procedure is characterized in that it is necessary to take compound cuttings from rhizomes 1 which have foliar bundles, at a greater depth than that of said bed to be repopulated, and in that each cutting is secured on said bed by means of a peg 7, with said cuttings having to be spaced a certain distance from each other. This procedure is used to repopulate coastal sea beds. <IMAGE>
