The invention concerns a protective helmet (2) with a device (7) for detachably attaching a strapless gas mask (3). The attachment device has two attachment elements (61), each of which is attached to one of the two areas (8) inside the helmet (2) opposite the wearer's ears and to one of the two sides of the gas mask (3). Each of the attachment elements (61) is made up of two links (24, 34) which can engage with each other and be detached from each other, one link (24) being fixed to the helmet (2), preferably to the outer shell (17) of the helmet, and the other link (34) being fixed to the gas mask (3). The link (24) fixed to the helmet is mounted by means of a pivot pin (22) approximately perpendicular to the sides (8) of the outer shell (17), in the outer shell (17) and/or in a support harness and/or an inner helmet. The link (24) fixed to the helmet is recessed into the inside wall of the helmet (2) or the outside of the outer shell (17) and/or is adjustable in height along the pivot pin (22) relative to the outside. |
