<p>Adhesion promoter for bonding polyurethane foam to bituminised backing material is cpd. which can react with isocyanates and/or act as plasticiser in bituminous material and/or as tackifier towards polyurethane foams. Additive can be applied in liquid form, opt. as soln., to side of bituminous material to be bonded or incorporated in bitumen. Water and natural resins, e.g. colophony, are suitable. Esp. in production of polyurethane foam boards covered with bituminised material for insulating flat roofs. Firm bonding is achieved, esp. if bituminised material is applied during or just after foaming stage.</p> |
