METHOD AND COMPOSITIONS FOR INHIBITING CORROSION IN AQUEOUS SYSTEMS

A method and compositions for inhibiting corrosion and pitting of metal surfaces in contact with an aqueous system is disclosed. A combination of a substituted aminoacetic acid and an alkali metal salt of molybdate or borate or, alternatively, a zinc compound, alkali metal salt of molybdate or borate and oxidant are effective in treating such surfaces.
