The method suppresses Fe oxidation and formation of sludge by accurately controlling citric acid concentration. The method comprises (A) converting the electroplating solution to acid solution by adding nitric acid as a pretreatment; (B) extracting Fe ion by using methyl iso buthyl keton; (C) diluting the electroplating solution; (D) injecting the solution into the ion chromato graph and analyzing citric acid in electroplating solution.
