The method is to simplify a process, to enable to manufacture a thin pen input-output pad and to impove productivity. The display is manufactured by combining the upper and lower substrates, injecting the liquid crystal(10) between them, and forming a polarizing layer(11) on the outer surface of the glass substrates(1,1'). Lower substrate is manufactured by depositing a transparent electrode(2), forming a thin film transistor(3), and depositing a protected layer(4) and an adjust layer(5) on the glass substrate(1). Upper substrate is manufactured by depositing a Y-direction grid-wire(20), an insulated layer(21), and a X-direction grid-wire(22), and forming a color filter(7), a bonding layer(8), a transparent counter electrode(9) and an adjust layer( 5 ).
