This is a hydraulic anti-vibration device comprising: two rigid reinforcing members (1, 3); an elastomeric spacing structure (6, 9) connected to the two reinforcing members and forming with these, at least in part, two sealed chambers, namely a working chamber (A) and a compensating chamber (B); a restricted passage (8) causing the two chambers to communicate with each other continuously; a mass of liquid filling the two chambers and the restricted passage; an "uncoupling" valve (10) in part delimiting the working chamber and consisting at least partly of a ferromagnetic armature; and an electromagnet (12) mounted so that it can urge this armature when energised. This device further comprises means for detecting any exceeding of a predetermined threshold by the amplitude of the vibration of the valve and means for slaving an energisation of the electromagnet to each of these excesses, this energisation being able to lock the valve for a predetermined length of time. <IMAGE>
