The footrest (18) is moulded as a single piece, made of synthetic resin and equipped with non-skid patterns (30) consisting of raised non-skid patterns. The non-skid patterns (30) formed in a region (B) in which the foot is most frequently placed on the footrest (18) are respectively fitted with rubber pads (31). The surface of each rubber pad (31) lies flush with the surface of the corresponding non-skid pattern (30) or is slightly below this surface. The rubber pads (31) are soft to touch and hardly become slippery at all when wet. They are protected from abrasion by the non-skid patterns (30) which can satisfactorily remove any mud sticking to the rider's shoes.
