Circuit arrangement for transmitting binary signals (signal message) by means of a two-wire databus (2) to which a voltage supply device (1) and a number of peripheral subscribers (3, 4) are connected. To extend the possibilities of use and to improve the reliability of such a data exchange circuit, it is provided that the voltage supply device (1) has a voltage source (7) with the output voltage UO and a series resistor Rv which are dimensioned in such a manner that, on the one hand, the switching elements SE1, SE2 produce a sufficiently high internal impedance and, on the other hand, a sufficient number of subscribers (3, 4) can be connected, each subscriber (3, 4) being connected to the databus (2) via a bridge rectifier GL1, GL2. <IMAGE>
