摘要 In a method for measuring the flow resistance of a catheter in an implanted infusion system (4) for drugs, in which the system comprises a drug reservoir and a pump which delivers drugs from the reservoir into the patient through a catheter connected to the outlet of the pump via a non-return valve, a flushing inlet (2) being arranged upstream of the catheter and downstream of the pump for direct access to the catheter, the time required for a previously determined liquid volume to be pumped through the catheter via the flushing inlet (2) at a predetermined pressure is measured. In a device for such flow monitoring, there is a testing device which is provided for connection to the flushing inlet and pumps a previously determined liquid volume through the catheter via the flushing inlet at a predetermined pressure. Furthermore, measuring means (25, 27) are provided for measuring the time to pump the said liquid volume. <IMAGE>
